Your employees' HSAs will be transitioned to HealthEquity

We are excited for the opportunity to serve you and continue building your employees' health savings. Beginning in January 2022, your employees' will start receiving the world-class service for which HealthEquity is recognized. Below is a detailed timeline of the transition:


November 2021
  • Member Open Enrollment Period
  • Eligibility file provided by Empyrean to HealthEquity
December 2021
  • HSA and Reimbursement Account Debit Cards mailed to Members
  • December 14, 2021 @ 1pm (Central) – Webinar by Concordia Plans/HQY Registration
  • December 31, 2021 – eConsent cutoff date for employees
  • December 31, 2021 ‐ January 5, 2022 – HealthEquity develops and sends file to Further (with member data who completed eConsent)
January 2022
  • January 1, 2022 – Plan start date
  • HSA funds will be available on HealthEquity HSA cards1 with balances from Further
  • January 5, 2022 – Further receives file & starts process
  • January 14, 2022 – Deadline for members transferring their HSA funds to sell/liquidate their HSA investments
  • January 17, 2022 – Black out period begins
  • January 25, 2022:
    • Further initiates ACH transfer to HealthEquity
    • Further HSA accounts are closed for individuals included in the Bulk Transfer
  • January 27, 2022 – HealthEquity receives ACH and account data from Further and loads to member account
February 2022
  • February 1, 2022 – Funds available in member account (Blackout period ends)
